After a busy year of shooting and editing it was really…and I mean really nice to take a spontaneous trip to Ocho Rios Jamaica. Vacation usually means just that…a break from the day to day life back home. So, we made a conscious effort not to work while we’re away. That lasted five minutes. Since our jobs consist of capturing fabulous images and video….and that’s what vacationers do when they go way, we thought “Who are we kidding”. We did set a limit of the amount of gear to bring, however.
The one part I really love about this job is working with my partner Izabela. I honestly believe the output of our work is partly accredited to our fun relationship. It shows in our work. This time around we worked on a video for ourselves. Yes, it was hard work getting up at 6:20am to catch the sunrise from a lawnchair. Then, capturing the waves…from a lawn chair. Toss in a few Jamaican bevvies and Jerk Chicken lunches and you have yourself a good idea of what we endured.
I can’t wait to go back.
